Dental hygiene tips for healthy teeth & gums

How long will 14 Invisalign trays take?

One of the most common questions patients ask about Invisalign is how long the treatment takes. The question is an obvious one, but the answer varies. Why? Every patient is different; their problems vary, and so does the treatment plan.

But one thing is constant. The Invisalign treatment system is one of the most effective orthodontic treatments that use removable aligners to straighten your teeth, making it a more convenient and comfortable experience. If you are interested in Invisalign and want to move forward with the treatment, this information can help you understand the process better.

Who is a good candidate for Invisalign?

Orthodontists typically recommend Invisalign for older teenagers and adults because teeth in our younger patients may still be growing. Here are some common dental problems that are treatable with Invisalign aligners if they are not too severe

  • Teeth crowding
  • Protruding teeth Crooked teeth
  • Teeth chasms
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite

Other orthodontic procedures may offer a better solution to your dental troubles if your condition is severe.

Choose between Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Express

Invisalign Lite and its duration
If you have already been told you need braces but don’t have severely misaligned teeth or any biting concerns, Invisalign may be a better and faster option! Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Express are excellent solutions for those who do not have severe orthodontic difficulties. These solutions are far faster and put less strain on your teeth than other treatment methods, but they are not suitable for everyone. Invisalign Lite works the same way as Invisalign Complete, except that it is required for a shorter period and only corrects minor orthodontic abnormalities.

Invisalign Lite can quickly correct mild overcrowding, gaps, and alignment issues. It fixes mild to moderate misalignment in the same way that Invisalign Complete does. In addition, you will have a maximum of 14 aligner trays, drastically shortening your treatment time.

You’ll only need to wear these 14 trays for about 6-7 months. Unlike traditional braces with brackets and wires, you will be able to eat and drink whatever you want at that period since you can take the trays out of your mouth.

Invisalign Express and its duration
While Invisalign Lite is faster than Invisalign Complete, Invisalign Express beats both. Invisalign Express is a terrific alternative if you wish to repair relatively minor orthodontic difficulties. It has the shortest treatment time of any form of Invisalign. If you have issues such as a moderate relapse after previous treatment or live in a tiny space, this could be a fantastic alternative.

This treatment includes between 5 and 10 trays, with a total treatment time of 3 to 6 months. It doesn’t last as long as there are fewer problems to fix. It is the quickest and easiest method if you only have a few cosmetic issues or minor space issues.
